InterConnect CommunicationsData Protection and Privacy PolicyInterConnect Communications holds information about its clients, suppliers and employees in various electronic and paper systems that come under the provisions of the United Kingdom's Data Protection Act 1998. We are registered with the Data Protection Register, number Z4662193. There is however an increasing level of national and pan-European legislation governing the gathering, storage and use of personal data. InterConnect Communications is very sensitive to issues surrounding Data Protection and Personal Privacy issues and makes every effort to comply with such legislation. Electronic Communications and Unsolicited Commercial Emails (UCE)There are UK and EU Directives in place regarding the distribution of unsolicited commercial emails (spam). The requirements of these differ although in essence they prevent such unsolicited communications to private individuals and, in the case of commercial contacts (in the workplace), require valid mechanisms to allow opt-outs. Our PolicyBy completing a response form on our website, you are agreeing to the storage and processing of your details for the specific purposes of that form and for marketing purposes. InterConnect Communications only undertakes mailings (print or electronic) to individuals who we believe may be interested in our professional services, training courses or publications. By definition, such individuals are assumed to be active in the communications sector working for example with a National Regulatory Organisation, network operator or other such service provider. Any communication from us will have a clear and valid return mechanism (i.e. return postal or email address) and any return requesting an opt-out will be processed immediately. InterConnect Communications does not pass data to any other company for any reason whatsoever. We may use our lists to market third-party services, products and events with which InterConnect Communications Ltd is associated (i.e. conferences in which we are participating) however such activities are handled internally and data is not transferred to the third-party. We will immediately action any requests to be removed from our mailing lists and will aim to confirm this action in writing. We review the validity of data on a regular basis and remove any data felt to be out-of-date. What This Means To You - Your RightsYou have a right to privacy and to the relevant use of any personal information that you have provided to us. If you have received marketing material from InterConnect and no longer wish to be included on our mailing lists, or you think that the information that we hold about you is inaccurate or irrelevant, or you would like to know what information we hold on our systems about you, then please contact the company directly. We will be happy to deal with your enquiry immediately. |
