ICT DevelopmentOpen Access Network InfrastructureOpen Access Networks, as the name implies, allow any operator complying with current legislative and regulatory requirements to access bandwidth connectivity over the OAN from designated Points of Presence (PoP). The principle behind the OAN is that the network provides connectivity to a large but disparate customer base which would not otherwise attract other operators to build new networks to provide services. The advantage to established network operators is that they can access a new customer base from a single PoP and their capital expenditure will be limited to building network connectivity to that point. |
