InterConnect supports Nigerian Mobile Operator in Implementation of Key Regulatory Initiatives
Chepstow, 18 August 2009

InterConnect Communications is pleased to announce that it is nearing the successful conclusion of an assignment for Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services (EMTS - trading as Etisalat Nigeria), providing specialist support and advice in the implementation of key regulatory initiatives. One of five GSM mobile operators in the country, Etisalat Nigeria acquired its licence in January 2007, made the first official call on its network in March 2008, and recently welcomed its one millionth subscriber.

Etisalat Nigeria has sought assistance from InterConnect in three main areas, namely mobile terminating rates, infrastructure sharing and mobile number portability. The Nigerian Communications Commission, the national regulator of Nigeria, is undertaking work in all three areas currently. View the Full Release

Seminar on Decision Making in Wireless Networks, London, 30th March 2010
InterConnect will be holding a free seminar on Wireless Networks which will look at some of the decision-making tools which can be employed by engineers, economists and financiers when assessing wireless networks, whether from a proposal / start-up perspective or indeed for assesing an expansion opportunity. IIR Conferences "Number Portability Middle East 2010"
Featuring Les Oliver, Senior Consultant, Commercial Services, Doha, Qatar, 18 April 2010
Les is presenting on "Determining how a high percentage of prepaid users may impact the success of your Number Portability solution" on the opening day of the conference. Les is also presenting a seminar session on Day 3 of the conference entitled "Back to basics – Determining how to implement the most suitable Number Portability Solution for You". More Information.

IIR Conferences "Telecoms Regulation Forum 2010"
Featuring John Berry, Director Spectrum Services, London, 22 - 24 March 2010
The event opens on the 22nd March with a half-day workshop led by John Berry on "Spectrum Management - Regulation, Refarming and the Digital Dividend" which in addition to the formal sessions will also give attendees hands-on experience of using software models and simulators. John is also chairing Day 2 of the conference. More Information.

InterConnect announces a new course on Modern Wireless Networks to its TRMC Master Classes
InterConnect has announced its first Master Class on Modern Wireless Networks which will take place on the 21 - 25 June 2010. For more information on the course and details for all the TRMC courses, visit our the dedicated TRMC website.

IIR Conferences "Interconnection World Forum 2010"
Featuring Eric Tyson, Director Commercial Services, London, 25 - 28 Jan 2010
InterConnect's strong participation at the event was led by by Eric Tyson who chaired the second day of the conference and also presented a session on the first day of the conference entitled Understanding how to adapt your current interconnection cost models in order to enable effective charging on Next Generation and IP networks.

The InterConnect team also led a one-day workshop on Developing an Effective Interconnection Model in an NGN environment which looked at the issues involved in NGN Interconnection and Next Generation Access before looking in detail at NGN cost modelling.

InterConnect announces 2010 course schedule for its TRMC Master Classes
InterConnect has announced its TRMC course schedule for 2010. The first course, the Spectrum Master Class, runs from the 17 - 21 May 2010. For more information on the 2010 schedule and details for all the courses, visit our TRMC pages or the dedicated TRMC website.
