Frequently Asked Questions
In developing this new version of the TRMC website, we have sought to provide as much information as we can for those interested in or already registered for the courses. Nevertheless, we have summarised below a number of the most frequently asked questions which are regularly asked.
Is accommodation included in the class fees?
Accommodation for the 5 nights of the class (Sunday to Thursday inclusive) is included in the fees and we manage all aspects of your accommodation directly with the hotel - there is no need for you to arrange accommodation yourself.
What else is included in the fees?
The class fees include the training, 5 nights accommodation at the class venue along with breakfast and lunch each day, and evening meals on the Tuesday and Thursday. For more information on what's included in the fees, see What's Included.
I want to bring my partner/family with me, is this possible and are there extra costs?
Yes, of course, you can bring your partner/family however there are additional charges which are applied by the hotel and which the delegate is responsible for settling directly with the hotel. Additional charges primarily relate to additional occupancy / rooms and meals.
For example, there is an extra charge of £20 per partner or £70 for a partner and children as you are upgraded to a family room. Children under 18 are free in the same room as parents while children under 10 years eat free from the child menu. Family rooms are limited, however, so if you are planning on bringing your family, please let us know as soon as possible so we can book the room for you. Please note, the charge for partners/family staying with you is to be paid direct to the hotel on checking out.
Partners and family are also welcome to join us for most of the social events. The only exception is the course dinner which is for delegates only.
How do I get to Bath from London Heathrow
Travel to Bath is your own responsibility and at your own cost. You can get to Bath either by train (via London Paddington) or coach. The following websites can assist with timetables and pricing - www.nationalrail.co.uk and www.nationalexpress.com.

Please do not contact the hotel directly to change or amend any aspects of your stay as we will manage this for you. If you have any special requirements or wish to make changes, please let us know and we will confirm these with the hotel on your behalf.
Do we have to pay VAT?
Depending on your organisation and location, VAT may be applied and where this is the case, it will be charged at the standard UK VAT rate (currently 20%). However, recent changes in the VAT regulations mean that many organisations will not pay any VAT . See our Pricing page for more information.
Can you help with visa applications?
We cannot directly help you with visa applications - this responsibility remains with delegates and their employers. Once we have received and processed your registration, however, we will be happy to issue you with a letter confirming your registration on the course and which you can include with your application.
When will my place be confirmed (and how)?
When we acknowledge your registration, we confirm it on a provisional basis and a place is only guaranteed once payment in full has been received (for more information, see our Terms and Conditions).
As soon as we receive payment of your invoice, our accounts department will e-mail you confirmation of your place on the course.
Do I need to bring anything with me (i.e. stationery / laptop etc)?
InterConnect provide notepads and stationery for the class. You do not need to bring a laptop for any of the course work.
Is there internet access in the hotel?
Yes, there is a wireless network in the main public areas on the ground floor and wired access in the bedrooms. Please note however that the wired access costs £15 per day and is NOT included in your course fees. The wireless network is much more reasonable and BTOpenzone vouchers are available from us or from reception.
